Was there talk of sending a women's team or were we going to just send the national team?

Yes, the plan is definitely to go to this! It's such a fun tournament! And this year they're moving to a new venue and having even more divisions.

A national team doesn't actually exist at the moment - a team is selected for a particular international competition and once that tournament is over (eg Worlds 2008), the team is also finished.

So basically it will be similar to Tom's Tourney - all women welcome!

Still early days, but I'm sure Heather will be entering/starting sign up soon.

We better be going to Windmill!!! I've even kept holiday days for it

Following on from Liz's email - who is up for this?!?

We need to make sure we have enough people who are interested before we pay the team fee....and then we need to find the money! I'm willing to put up some of it, but would rather split it with one or two others.

So post here if you're interested in playing and if you have some cash lying around to go towards the team fee.

Just looking at the website - there are two women's teams from Finland playing at Windmill! And lots of other cool teams. I reeeeeeeeeeeally want to go!

So far we have 7 yeses and 3 maybes. We definitely need more.

i would very much like to be in for this, but unfortunately won't be able to say if i am until abotu mid may-highly frustrating but true!

any chance we could use peoples (really generous!) offers to pay the team fee and confirm who's actually playing later? the most important thing strikes me as making sure we keep our spot! and definitely looks like we will have good numbers-just that people need to figure it out.

also,

maybe we should talk about who wants to captain too?! lets maybe try and keep it with the 2people, maybe with varying experience levels doing it together...?

as usual, i would love to go to this, but i'll still be in greece at that stage probably very stressed about my thesis.

im back end of july and then i want to play frisbee as much as i possibly can!

Just to let you all know I paid the team fee for this today.

Player fees are due 1 May so hopefully by then all the maybes will be a bit more sure!

just wondering- people who have been to this before, do you normally fly with aer-lingus, or is there a ryanair option?

Has anyone booked flights for this yet?? I'd like to book soon but just wondering what others are doing! Shiv ryanair only fly to Eindoven which isn't too far away but means having to go to the hassle of getting a train/bus there!
