| Hey, There has been discussion about going to Tour 3 in Cardiff on 8-9 August and I would be willing to organise it but before I email the coordinator, I was wondering would anyone be up for going to Tour 2 on 4-5 July in Brighton. I, for one, am in.
For anyone who doesn't know, Tour is pretty much some of the most competetive women's Ultimate we can get this side of the water. That said, no one should be dissuaded from signing up as it is the best place to learn what it is to be a really good player. This is the best environment for improving your game. It's relatively cheap (though I don't know how much at this point. But we went to mixed tour and it was 25 Euro each.)
So who's in? | |

| I never thought I'd say this....but I actually miss tour!
Will only be able to afford one of them though and dates for Tour 3 suit me better.
So: Tour 2 - out Tour 3 - in | |

| Okay so, time to start becoming yeses and not maybes!
Was on to the director there and we can surely register!
Regarding tour 2: Flights: Best to fly into Gatwick. Otherwise Stansted is doable. We get the train to Brighton. (Or from Stansted, the bus to the train.) Loads of flights later in the evening to Stansted for those working! There are working out to be around 25-45 Euro at the moment. Accomodation: It will be staying in a boy scout hut near the pitches. We did this last year and it cost like 4 pounds a night. This is to be confirmed.
Regarding Tour 3: Flights: Best to fly aerarann to Cardiff. Otherwise Ryanair to Bristol. Then take the train to Cardiff. We can camp here for free or look into getting a cheap hostel. But I'll be freely camping. There is always the rail and sail option as well.
So, who's in for sure! | |

| Hi Ladies, Due to an unfortunate lack of numbers, it looks like Tour 2 isn't going to happen. Unless enough ladies get back to me to say they can go, I will be pulling us out by the end of today as the TDs need to know asap what the story is with us. I'm going to reserve us a definite spot for Tour 3 however so please make an extra effort to keep that weekend free (8th/9th August in Cardiff)! Thanks, Fiona | |

| Flights to Bristol for Tour 3 are very cheap at the minute, €23 with Ryanair. From there you can get a train to Cardiff (about £30) which takes I think about 2 hours. Could be worth booking the flights even for those unsure of their availability or if they'll be able to afford it. | |

| I seem to remember the train to Cardiff being much cheaper than that. you can get student discounts and also discounts for being in a group, so if there's a lot of you should work out ok. | |

| Hey Everyone, Time to turn those maybes into hell yeahs and string in a few of those ones keeping altogether quiet for Tour 3. The dates are the 8th/9th of August and it's on in Cardiff. These are the lists I have at the moment, please alert me straight away if any of it is wrong or you'd like to add yourself to the list, even if only to be added to the maybes. In Tara Linda Sinead Sparky SJ (flights booked) Maybe Fiona Katie Olly Sus Cliodhna You can fly to Cardiff with Aerarann or Ryanair to Bristol and get the train from there. Second option works out cheapest. Ryanair are having a sale until midnight tonight where flights are costing €30 to Bristol. We can then camp in Cardiff for free or look into finding a hostel. Overall not an expensive trip and there's huge experience to be gained from it. I'm very tempted myself to book flights today, even though I'm still a maybe...these would be the ones I'd be getting to avoid missing work: Going Out Adult 0.00 EUR Fri, Aug 07 Flight FR 508 20:45 21:45 Depart Arrive Dublin (DUB) Bristol (BRS) Coming Back Coming Back Adult 0.00 EUR Sun, Aug 09 Flight FR 509 22:50 23:45 Depart Arrive Bristol (BRS) Dublin (DUB) Taxes, insurance, etc. bring it to €30 total. Trains can be booked in advance for £3 single or even less if a groupsave ticket is purchased (if I've done my research correctly) and it takes no more than an hour and a half or so. So, to sum up: * A high standard women's outdoor tournament in Cardiff on the 8th/9th of August. * Travel and accommodation expenses should cost no more than €45/50 (can get either a bus or taxi from train station). * Party description: ''The party will be held a short stumble from the campsite and pitches. The theme for the party is alcohol and music. Get ready for a night of carefully selected tunes picked out especially to suit the ultimate dancing community. There'll be a blend of Funky disco, cheesy pop, air guitar classics and of course some handbag house.'' So get your butt in gear and let me know you're a definite! Or if you really can't go, your job is to find and persuade someone who can. Thanks, Fiona | |

| Hello Ladies of Irish Ultimate... Tour 3 is fast approaching! The dates are the 8th/9th of August and it's on in Cardiff. We need to make a decision about going to it by this Friday i think. In addition to the 6 we provisionally have we need at least 4 more to make it viable. It would be a great fun way to end the summer season before return to the land of Uni ultimate and smelly boys... Ok, so this is the updated list of players... In Cliodhna Sinead Sparky SJ Shiv Grainne M ANY MORE TAKERS??!! You can fly to Cardiff with Aerarann or Ryanair to Bristol and get the train from there. Second option works out cheapest at 50 euro (last flight out on fri and last flight back on sunday) with a bag/credit card fees etc. We would just have to check out times/prices of trains to/from Cardiff (not more than 30 euro i'd guess). We can then camp in Cardiff for free or look into finding a hostel. Some people have already booked flights! So flights are still reasonable, does that persuade anyone??! LET US KNOW BY THIS THURSDAY AND WE WILL DECIDE ON FRIDAY... It would be such a shame to drop out at this late stage. Sarah Jane and Shiv Tour 3 captains PS. Please forward this to people you think may be interested. | |

| Hello ladies- i'm just forwarding shivs email that she sent to the irish ladies list yesterday,
Good news -It looks like we have just about enough for Tour 3 So if anybody is on the fence about this please come along, it will be a great learning experience and a chance to play some really good quality womens ultimate.
Or if you know of somebody else who would like to go please forward this mail on, We are going now and may have to pick up one or 2 players if we dont get more people however our preference would be to get irish ladies who can benefit from the experience.
Flights are still quite cheap, it will be a great weekend. So come on!!!
Shiv and Sarah Jane. | |
